We are delighted to share the incredible success of the annual Action for Children Sports Dinner. As the Proud Headline sponsor for the second year, we joined together with this incredible charity to help make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families in Scotland and throughout the UK.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presence of the remarkable Fatima Whitbread MBE, who herself has experienced an extremely traumatic childhood, and been through the care system before joining her adopted family. Her interview was honest, moving and demonstrated first-hand how essential the services of charities like Action for Children are. Following Fatima’s incredible achievements in sport as an Olympian and World Champion, she has continued to support charities, including Action for Children.
We are delighted to share, that the event exceeded all expectations; with the collective efforts of guests, sponsors, and supporters leading to a staggering total of over £80,000 raised on the night. This outstanding achievement is a testament to the generosity and compassion of everyone involved and we are extremely grateful to everyone who contributed, attended, and supported this wonderful event and charity.

In 2022 they helped over 20,000 children, assisted over 1000 young people to get “job ready”, provided fostering services and continually campaigned for change to protect those in need.
The funds raised from the Sports Dinner will go directly towards supporting Action for Children’s initiatives that provide essential resources and support to vulnerable children and families. From mental health programs to educational opportunities, the charity is dedicated to transforming lives and ensuring a brighter future for those who need it most.
